Resources Available

Print and nonprint resources:

Our collection consists of over 15,000 books. You can search the collection from your laptop by clicking on the blue "Media Center" icon and using your usual username and password. The Media Catalog allows you to search the GCPS Professional Library for books and AV selection just by clicking the box.

Equipment:

Staff checkout is for one week or more as needed. We have cameras, camcorders. sound systems, SMART boards, portable projector systems (Buddhas), as well as our remote clickers, Airline Slates, Lumens, and SRS (Student response systems.)

***Wireless carts*** While they are stored in the Media Center, they can only by reserved through Melanie Rosen.

Media Staff:

Our specialty is research, so please let us help. We can do anything from pulling a cart of books, to creating Pathfinders, and teaching research skills. We are here to support you!

 Reserving the Media Center:

You can sign up using the "Media Center and Calendar Sign Up" via the Staff directory. Monday and Friday are checkout days and Tuesday - Thursday are research/computer days.

Individual Student Use of the Media Center:

Teachers may send up to 3 students at one time. They each need an individual agenda/pass signed, and if it is for research or printing, please include that information. All computer use is limited to school research and the media catalog. No personal Email or surfing the Internet is allowed.

Media Committee, Book Fairs, Read Across America Week, and Readers Rally.
