Congratulations to Lilburn Middle's 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year

Mr. Julian Gonzalez

Mr. Julian Gonzalez is the Orchestra leader and teacher here at Lilburn Middle School as well as our 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year.

Mr. Gonzalez has been working with children and music for more than 30 years.  He has been a part of Lilburn Middle School since 2004 and has enriched the lives and talents of countless numbers of children during that time.

A few words about teaching from Mr. Gonzalez:

"Teaching must be fun.  We must be enthusiastic and energetic ourselves in order to elicit positive responses from our students."

"Teaching must be eclectic, a kind of all-inclusive process.  Yes, I teach music, but I make sure I incorporate math, social studies, science, and language arts into my planning.  After all, everything we teach relates."
